World Youngest Grandmother in Romania

A 23-year-old woman from Romania has claimed to have become the “world’s youngest grandmother”, a media report said.
Mum-of-two Rifca Stanescu was 12 when she had her first child Maria. She urged her daughter not to follow her example – but Maria gave birth to son Ion while only 11,’The Sun’reported.
Rifca had married jewellery seller Ionel Stanescu when she was 11 and he was 13. They eloped because Rifca feared her father wanted her to marry another village lad in Investi in Romania. She was forgiven when she had her daughter- making her mum, also Maria, a great grandmother at 40.
Son Nicolae was born a year later. The young mum later tried to persuade Maria to stay at school. But Maria left to wed when she was 10 and had her baby six months later, the report said.
Rifca cuddled grandson Ion, now two, and said: “I am happy to be a grandmother but wished more for Maria.”
Britain’s previous youngest grandmother was an unnamed 26-year-old from Yorks. Her daughter, 12, gave birth in 1999.

World's Longest Cricket Match

A Cricket match takes long time to play to begin with but test cricket is even longer with most test matches scheduled to last 5 days.

Back in the time when your grandfather walked to school, uphill both ways in 3 feet of snow, test matches were scheduled to play to their conclusion.

The longest cricket match was between South Africa and England in Durban, South Africa and began on March 03, 1939 and continued till March 14, 1939, although they did not play on the 5th, 11th or 12th.

Unfortunately England had to catch a boat home on the 15th so after play on the 14th the match was called a draw and both teams went home.

The world's longest cricket match spanned 43 hours and 16 minutes of playing time in which 1,981 runs were scored.

Love Yourself

Love Yourself

In order to love others, you must first learn to love yourself. We are often irritated, angry, and frustrated with our own existence. But if you start loving yourself fully and unconditionally, you can throw open the channels between yourself and the universe to give and receive love. Our primary relationship is with ourselves. Oscar Wilde had said, “To be in love with oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance”. That says a lot about importance of self-love.

We all have our own set of problems. Many of us go through problems like lack of confidence, poor self-esteem, lack of materialistic facilities etc but the biggest tragedies that one can face is inability to love and value oneself. We keep 24/7 company with ourselves so shouldn’t we make concrete efforts to love ourselves? If you have a divided self, it can trigger a lifelong chain of painful experiences. To get ourselves free from emotional and psychological needs that we seek to fulfill externally, we must develop acceptance and basic trust in ourselves.

Loving ourselves means taking good care of ourselves. You must believe that you are worthy of life. The direct result of loving yourself manifests in you not running away from the uncomfortable moments in your life. You accept yourself completely and there is no rejection of any aspect of yourself, no matter how unpleasant the sensation. To be able to love yourself unconditionally also means you firmly believe that you are worthy of happiness, of success, of abundance and love. Your mindset says you deserve to have the best of friends and family. Loving yourself also strengthens you. No matter what sort of troubles you are facing, you are always there for yourself and that’s no mean support and achievement. There is no substitute for it. Remember, we are our own best friends.

World in the mist of 'LIKE'

Someone might already brought this into light, but I just realized it.

It all started with me thinking for the reasons why people write poems.

One can list out Love, hate, compassion, dream, happiness, sorrow and go on till he is out of all emotions.

On thinking, I narrowed the list down to one, which is like.

Let me just list out all above reasons one by one and then show how they indeed are like

Love - Synonym of like !

Hate - You hate something because you like something else.

Compassion - You care for others. Isn't that kind of like?

Dream - You like to achieve something.

Happiness - Its because you like it

Sorrow - Its because you miss something you like

You might strike this out as my perspective, but like in every human got its own perspective.

Selfishness, corruption, war, crime and what not. Just name it and see that we are covered by like.

One can only create like as destroying it would be an act because he likes something else.

Friendship

Friendship is one of the greatest blessings of God.A man is a miserable wealth may find some comfort in life , but a friendless man is a miserable fellow. He is the most lonely creature on God's earth. There is none to share his joys and sorrows. His pleasures, at the most, are only a shadow of pleasures. His sorrows are deepened into blackest gloom, because he knows no soul to help him with his burden.

For what is a friend? He is one to whom we can go in the hour when the darkclouds of life overshadoe us and cast our soul into the gloom of black despait. He is one from whom we hide no secrets, to who,m we cantell the tale of our own sn and shame eithout any feat of scorn.

The blessing of friendship is enjoyed only by men and women. It is not given to animals.Tiger lives a lonely life in his own lair. His boredim is relieved by the lioness or at te most by his cubs. The stag has a big flock around himm but not one od the flock shares his inner feelings. He suffers his pains without sympathy from others. There is none to whom he canturnfor help without any sense of obligation.

It is,indeed, the proud privilege of man to establish friendship which lasts for ever and becomes a source of delight.

Short Story With A Beautiful Message

Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.

The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter,

'Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river.'

The little girl said, 'No, Dad. You hold my hand.'

'What's the difference?' Asked the puzzled father.

'There's a big difference,' replied the little girl.

'If I hold your hand and something happens to me,

chances are that I may let your hand go.

But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go.'

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond.

So hold the hand of the person who loves you rather than expecting them to hold yours...

This message is too short but carries a lot of feelings...

What Your Facial Hair Says About You : Mustaches

Tom Selleck. Ron Jeremy. Groucho Marx. All dudes with limited career options at this point, but more importantly, all dudes with notable mustaches. Historically, the mighty ‘stache has been a calling card of masculinity, and this doesn't appear to be changing any time soon. Also, I would call attention to the popular t-shirt reading "Mustache Rides - 5 cents." I'm pretty sure this can be counted as history's first meme.
What it says about you:

The Chevron
As the proud bearer of a classic American mustache, I know how to get things done. Whatever my job is, I'm good at it, and I enjoy it. And it's probably something cool, like "race car driver" or "middle relief pitcher."

The Horseshoe

I've absolutely no dignity left to assail. I'm probably not an actual biker, but if I put on a leather jacket as well, at least no one will crowd me on the bus. In rare cases: This Tuesday I'll be fighting the Iron Sheik at the Imperial Bingo Palace on Interstate 41. Whatcha gonna do, when these 24-inch pythons run wild on you, brother!

The Toothbrush

If it's later than 1945, and I'm not appearing in a biopic about the life of Charlie Chaplin, there's something seriously wrong here, fraulein.

The Handlebar

I am more concerned with looking stylish than looking tough. I probably know other mustache guys, but I'm far too classy to point out that their shapeless tufts fall far short of my efforts.Alternatively: Hey Paizan! Whatta you want on this-a pizza?

The Pencil
I'm an artistic type, and my art tends to push boundaries. Even if that "art" is stage magic, mime, or tango instruction.

The Fu-Manchu

I might be an intergalactic villain intent on conquering the galaxy, or I might just be the creepy guy in the neighborhood who hangs out a little too close to the playground for comfort. Either way, better steer clear.

The Walrus

I'm so manly, I basically grew a second ballsack on my face. I'm pretty handy with power tools, but don't kid yourself. I could chop down a tree faster than you too. So could my horse, and my 12 to 15 kids. Who, incidentally, refer to me as "Pa."

The English

I talk with some sort of weird accent which I obviously adopted after spending a semester in some weird country. But at least I'm handy to have around; at this very moment, there's enough wax on my lip to sculpt a little candle in case of a blackout.

World's Most Dangerous Bird

According to the Guinness Book of Records, the Cassowaries are the world’s most dangerous birds, capable of dealing fatal blows. They are very unpredictable, aggressive creatures, especially if wounded or cornered. The Cassowary lives in the rain forests of Australia and New Guinea and are actually pretty shy animals if undisturbed, but if you get to close and it thinks you’re a threat you could receive a bone-breaking kick or get sliced by its dagger-like sharp claws. During WWII, soldiers stationed in New Guinea were warned to stay away from these birds, but some of them still became victims.

Chocolate Helps Lower Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is a significant concern as it significantly raises the incidence of vascular disease and stroke. As a result of stress, poor diet and lifestyle, enzymes in our body produce a substance known as angiotensin II that causes blood vessels to narrow and blood pressure to increase. Standard medicalpractice is to prescribe ACE inhibitors to inhibit the action of these enzymes, often with mixed results and always dangerous side effects. Researchers have now confirmed that natural flavanols found in cacao from chocolate can lower blood pressure as effectively as the Big Pharma solutions.

Natural Flavanols from Cacao Effectively Regulate Blood Pressure
Researchers have known for some time that the active catechins and procyanidines in many fruits, vegetables and green tea promote health and protect against disease through a variety of biochemical mechanisms. The results of a study published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology explains how flavanols from cacao and dark chocolate inhibit the action of angiotensin to influence the body’s fluid balance and effectively regulate blood pressure.

Study Demonstrates Blood Pressure Lowering Effect of ChocolateResearchers have known for some time that the active catechins and procyanidines in many fruits, vegetables and green tea promote health and protect against disease through a variety of biochemical mechanisms. The results of a study published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology explains how flavanols from cacao and dark chocolate inhibit the action of angiotensin to influence the body’s fluid balance and effectively regulate blood pressure.

The study involved ten men and six women aged 20 to 45 who were fed 75 grams of unsweetened chocolate with a cacao content of 72%. Blood samples were taken before and again after eating the samplechocolate to analyze the activity of the ACE enzyme. Researchers were amazed to find that the enzyme activity was reduced by 18%, effectively lowering dangerous blood pressure as well or even better than many pharmaceuticals.

The lead author concluded, “Our findings indicate that changes in lifestyle with the help of foods that contain large concentrations of catechins and procyaninides prevent cardiovascular diseases.” It`s important to note that the results were produced using unsweetened cacao as found in many specialty dark chocolates. The same benefits would not be conferred with commonly available sweetened milk chocolate and semi-sweet varieties.

Flavanols From Chocolate Increases Nitric Oxide, Relaxes Blood Vessels
Information reported in the journal BMC Medicine combines the results of 15 independent studies on the vessel dilating effects of flavanols from chocolate. Researchers found that moderate consumption of chocolate with a high percentage of cacao showed significant blood pressure reduction in people with high blood pressure, and no effect on individuals with normal pressure readings. Flavanols increase the natural formation of endothelial nitric oxide that exhibits a relaxing effect on blood vessel walls and lowered blood pressure.

Cacao from chocolate is shown to be yet another example of how a natural compound can promote health and prevent disease. Flavanols and catechins are chemical compounds found in unprocessed foods that are essential to human health. When consumed or supplemented as part of a whole food diet they demonstrate reduced risk of disease without the damaging side effects commonly seen with pharmaceuticals.
